National AccessAbility Week

A set of children's wooden crutches that each have a curved top for support under the arms and wooden handles in the middle of the crutch, photographed laying in opposite directions on a white background

This year National AccessAbility Week is being celebrated from May 31st  to June 4th and it is the second year that it has been legislated by the Accessible Canada Act.  Pictured here are crutches from our collection (991.18A,B) that were used by a young Aurora resident, Lorne Edward Holman (1897-1904), when he was three years old.
